On August 16, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued Announcement No. 17 of 2023, approving the release of 412 industry standards, and the light industry standard QB/T 5905-2023 “Manufacturing “Leather Softening Enzyme Preparation” is listed among them.
The standard was drafted by Sichuan Decision New Material Technology Co., Ltd. in conjunction with Sichuan University, China Leather and Shoes Research Institute Co., Ltd., led by Dr. Sun Qingyong of DECISION and Professor Zeng Yunhang of Sichuan University. It is the first domestic enzyme preparation for tanning. The industry standard will come into effect on February 1, 2024.
DECISION and the team of academician Shi Bi of Sichuan University jointly undertook the major scientific and technological achievements transformation project of the central colleges and universities in Sichuan “creation, technology integration and industrialization of a series of special biological enzyme preparations for green chemical industry”. This standard is exactly the goal of this project One of the important results. Its formulation, release and implementation can standardize the index requirements of leather core enzymes – leather softening enzyme preparations, and provide guidance for the industry to carry out activities such as research and development, production, quality management and trade of enzyme preparation products.
